Travel days begin with the early morning tire thump by the tail gunner, who listens carefully for low tire pressure. When Wagonmasters Stu and Susan Flood left the campground shortly after 7:30 a.m., the rest of the caravan continued to ready itself for the 235 mile drive from Kemah, TX to Corpus Christi. By 9:30 each rig had departed when ready, and the tailgunners took care of a few details before hitting the road. The drive was through the flat coastal areas of eastern Texas, and fortunately, was uneventful. A couple of Walmart and DQ stops and all arrived safely in Corpus Christi.
It's 5 o'clock in Corpus Christi, and the group gathers for a lively Social Hour(s), with road stories to share!
